This happens with all the platforms (can confirm that happens with XBOX Series S). This bug was also in NHL 21 but was patched. This should be an easy fix.

Shame that there still hasn't been a fix. Like EA could literally just let us edit the players on be a pro, just like in franchise mode so we could atleast fix this bug ourselves. In the meantime if I happen to play franchise mode I always check the new players and edit them manually... Even tho it takes like 10 minutes.
