@HockeytownGuru Yes custom league is nice. I personally do 2009 and 2010 retro rosters that I shared with Roster Sharing. Spend many hours on them. With actual salary, overall ratings, created over 700 players with accurate equipment and face/facial hair, etc.
This feature and broadcast were the two things I was looking forward. But 1) I can’t control more than 1 team. 2) I hate when I do a franchise how every players is 90 overall after 2 years. 3) Many bugs and little problems.
My option is to play season mode to control every team. I love to be able to play any players I want and not always the Penguins or Canadiens once started. But then, season mode doesn’t have the option to put 30 teams, 1-8 playoffs format, etc. Like those new franchise features are. So it was half of a win for me. + the Full play by play broadcast off, I just feel empty. NHL 22 was probably the game I played and enjoyed the most since 2010.
2010 had 3 stars presentation, Custom music, custom horn, etc. Presentation was nice, graphics good for the time and gameplay was balanced.
In 22, Once I changed the sliders to « boost » both CPU and User goalie and reduced shot accuracy the game was perfect!!! 1-2 penalties a game, 25-30 shots and 2-1, 3-2 scores. And I heard gameplay was even better in this one, I was hyped. But learning more and more, I feel I’ll wait for NHL24…
