I've tried all of the above, including connecting to a mobile hot spot and I'm still not able to select my position. And I'm also on Xbox One X

Are you on One X or Series X? Unfortunately, I don't have anything else to suggest that hasn't been mentioned in this thread already.
I'm on the Series X. Let me make sure I've gone through everything, I changed my loadout entirely. I've gone into "Customize" and recreated my player to ensure everything was hit. I've tried both inviting friends and having them invite me to games in EASHL Drop-In. I changed my profile picture to a generic picture. I went to "Manage Games and Add-Ons", "Saved Data", and deleted the data for my profile, both on the Xbox itself and via "Delete Everywhere". I've rebooted my Xbox numerous times, including re-seating the power cable and leaving it out for over 30 seconds. I've power cycled my modem and router. I've cleared my "Alternate MAC Address". I've completely un-installed the game and re-installed. I've tried removing the Cat-5E cable from my Xbox and connected via mobile hot spot. No change in status with any of the above. Have I missed anything?

I can't really think of anything else. I'm very sorry. I know I'd be incredibly frustrated if this were happening to me. We haven't been able to figure out what's causing it to happen to some of you. I'll bring it up to the team again and report back should I have some new details.
I assume this happens in both club and drop-in games? If it's only club games, you could try changing all the customizations for your arena.
Have you tried using a different console? I'm not optimistic this would help, but it's worth a shot. - EA_Aljo3 years ago

Hey, everyone. We could use some more information to help with this investigation. Please provide the following if you can:
- Console and gamertag/PSN ID. You're welcome to send this to me privately if you wish
- Time stamp this occurred
- Game mode
- What steps you did before the issue happened
- Video
As far as the video goes, make sure it shows as much as you can before the problem with not being able to select your position.

Would factory resetting my Xbox series X fix the bug problem in world of chel. The one that you can’t select your posistion?

I think it's an issue on our end, but feel free to give it a shot. If you do, please report back. The team is still investigating this, but we haven't been able to reproduce it reliably. We've had it happen with invites to dressing rooms as well as returning to other club's dressing rooms, but exiting out and loading back in resolves it. So, any other details anyone has may help. We'd love to get this one resolved.
I figured out my issue, I have wireless headphones that connect with a usb and for some reason the game sees that as a controller so my issue is resolved if I don't turn my headset on until after I load into Chel and get into the lobby. if my headset is on and I load into Chel it will not let me select a position I think because it sees the controller as the second player and the headset as player one. Hopefully this is the same issue for you guys since it now works pretty much every time for me.
