NHL 22 1/2 rebounds edition is literally what this game is has become...you play PERFECT DEFENSE and all they have to do is shoot a floater and the goalie doesn't know how to kick the puck to the cor...

This hasn't really been my experience. While I agree goalies could handle rebounds better, most of the time my defenders are picking them up. Not that I never see a goal from a rebound of course. I'll shoot for them if I get the opportunity. They're a part of the game and you see them frequently scored in the real world. I play D in EASHL and you can tell when the other team is setting up for them so I position myself to have a good chance at picking them up first. Again, rebounds may not be perfect, but a video game also isn't exactly a 1:1 recreation of the real world sport. Hockey has some incredibly difficult physics to capture in a video game so it's not always going to be perfect.
@EA_Aljo one of the biggest things that plagues the game is the goalies don't use their technique to redirect pucks. If a puck is coming in on them they usually kick their pads out 90 degrees which is a recipe for disaster in a lot of cases. A puck shot from the point or a fair distance away should get redirected to the corner most of the time but instead they tend to hit the toe of the pad and shoot forward.
I suppose the issue arose from all of those goals that went in for the past 2 years where they'd hit the pad and then go inside the post because the goalies made zero animations aside from the butterfly a lot of time too.
