I think, personally, that EA Sports branching out on its own(separate from EA Games) is going to be good for the game…hopefully. This whole give and take on the attributes thing was a solid step in the right direction. Next one should be to give full creative control for player builds again, and by that I mean the progression system where you have a certain amount of points every level.
Secondly, as far as creation goes for the jerseys: FULL creative control, this means we can apply the piping and bars wherever we want, not just based off templates. And custom logo uploader. SDS and the Show control theirs fairly well, WWE 2k series has a pretty good filter…it’s 2023…there’s no valid reason this isn’t a thing with EA titles yet.
Add the instigator for those forced fights.
Get icing right
Net front tie ups are great…BUT the issue is they shouldn’t anchor you in place. Right now its too easy to engage them, and not easy enough to escape. The AI is especially overpowered with this and can suck you into it from 10 feet away.
More WoC improvements: If you’re going to keep the “Superstar” abilities, then Truculence needs to go. Presently it essentially allows you to hit without drawing blatant interference/charging calls. It also allows the hitter to barely graze the loose thread on the attacker’s jersey to send him flying, despite the fact that he’s blown by the defender by five feet already.
Poke checks: Always a contentious point. This year they’re better than ever, for the most part. They still need to fix the pokes from behind to the puck carrier well ahead, that seem to magnetize the puck backwards

Would you be able to get video of the AI initiating tie ups from 10 feet away? I'll send it over to the team for review.
Also, pokes aren't being magnetized. It's possible the poke slowed down the puck so the former carrier skates past it. This also is something we'd need video on. Thank you! - KidShowtime18673 years agoHero

I disagree with this.
Tie ups need to be easier. They would stop a lot of the cross-crease stuff and tie-ups go a long way in defending tip-ins as well.
right now, you need to be slow and calculated to initiate a tieup whereas I believe it should be much easier.
As for escaping them, pressing Vision control (LT) works all the time. That part of the mechanic works great.

I agree with your disagreement, lol !
I'm talking strictly OFFLINE here, but Tie ups are a pain… I mostly play locked on D and they are very hard to do, and when they do work, it’s seems to always be a hit or a miss. When I focus on trying to do one, I miss my other assignments in front of goal and I pay the price, lol !
Maybe I don’t have the right technique, but yeah, not my go to play…

I use stick tie ups very frequently in EASHL. The player you're trying to tie up needs to be almost completely stopped.

I get sucked in automatically into tie-ups from a computer (usually in their end way far away from the puck), and its super annoying trying to get out of it.
I'm all for making it easier for humans to initiate but we need some sort of faster QTE or button setup to get out of it - especially for 3v3 because, while it is the meta, players can easily just short-side cheese the goalie when they can't pass (yes, you can do it in 6v6 but there are way more obstacles for the puck carrier).
