Are they going to fix strategies in the game so we can go back and edited them like we did in previous games? (picture I’ve provided.)

You’re not the coach, but you do still get to decide who plays on what line and players will come to you to complain about ice time. We also assign you a random coach and don’t offer any replacement options. Also, you are only the GM, but make sure the facility is maintained. Not a shot at you @EA_Aljo , but this sure is some kind of EA logic.

@EA_Aljo , that’s fine and all. The problem is when you fire your coach, and hire a new one the strategies DO NOT change to the new coaches preferences.that means we are stuck with the same default strategies of our first coach for the duration of franchise mode. That means that if I have a defensive coach but want to switch to an offensive strategy set I cannot, no matter who I hire.at least last year I could manually change my line strategies and defensive instructions to match my new coach.how do you guys not see this as a problem?

Everyone at EA listening to them: Yeah, that sounds good, because I’ve never thought of anything in this game beyond the surface level. I’m sure no one will be upset. That gives me an idea about presentation….

I'm not sure I understand this. Coach tasks include determining who plays on what line, yet the user can still edit lines. Once the game starts users can change strategies, edit lines, and also determine who plays how much...But strategies cannot be edited/saved on a "permanent" basis? This completely lacks logic. Hypothetically, this is the equivalent of not allowing a user to select offensive and defensive playbooks in Madden because of the coach you have in Franchise.This is bad change, and should be corrected.

The "you're not the head coach" excuse makes absolutely no sense. We're not the players either, yet we can still control them and play in-game.It's just a badly implemented idea, from the start. I get that EA wants the coaches we hire to influence the game. But removing the ability to set our own strategy isn't the way to go. It never was. Coaches should have ratings, just like players, where they are better in certain scheme, not so good in others. That would make a lot more sense than forcing us to play a system we don't like.

@Andochiefs Honestly pretty unlikely… they are probably too focused on fixing their big presentation debacle.. I don’t think we’ll see it fixed for a big… if we even do lol

@heavydutyrammer Main reason why they won't fix is because they are trying to force people to play HUT and spend money. Out of all the games that have Ultimate Team theirs brings in the lowest revenue EA is all about live service and micro transactions now. Reason why they added a new strategy option with the new powerplay stuff but took away the option to adjust strategies in franchise, so it's only available in HUT.
100% doubt anyone of significance at the studio has seen this thread. Only one twitch/youtuber has publicly said stuff about the franchise mode strategies. All streamers of the game only play HUT and of course are the ones promoting EA crap decisions. Two of the biggest streamers Nasher and someone else said on Twitter that they believe only 1% of people actually play franchise mode which is a load of bull. One if them even said they should just remove the game mode.

This issue with strategies have absolutely zero to do with trying to get people to play HUT. If we truly only wanted people to spend additional money, there would be more than 1 mode you could do that in.

@EA_Aljo The community is angry and I saw your justification for this change and it made no sense whatsoever. It was illogical and ridiculous. Please tell the dev team to patch this ASAP. I can't believe I'm doing this, begging EA to put something back into a game that's always been there. This is the last time I purchase this game. I've bought every edition since 93. It's bigger than this one thing, you don't listen to the customers anymore.

@gravy77777 Yeah, the “you’re not the coach” excuse doesn’t make sense… especially when you can set the lines.. set hot dog prices… choose what days to have bobble heads.. etc etc so I must ask EA Aljo why we can do all this but not set strategies?

@xRixx666x they have probably somehow broke it (like many other mechanics) and “fixed” it by disabling it altogether.

See I only play franchise mode then followed by BAP

I couldn’t give a Daum about HUT or online.
