Why can’t I ready up or choose a position for that matter in world of Chel? I’m on next gen Xbox series s and it won’t let me pick a position or ready up

Every time I log into world of chel I go into 3v3 or 6v6, drop in or clubs it doesn’t matter, im shown the lobby screen where I can select a position and every time it doesn’t let me select. If I press A nothing happens, if I move the joystick left or right nothing happens, if I press B nothing happens, if I press L3 to change lobbies nothing happens. I can press the bumpers and go to loadouts or any other tab normally but the lobby doesn’t work. I’ve restarted game and still doesn’t work. I’ve completely turned off and unplugged Xbox and still doesn’t work. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the game and still doesn’t work.

When you get position stuck disconnect your wireless controller and repair it with a wired controller or vise versa. this works every-time for me !

It still doesn’t work all the time

This just happened to me again.. cleared my MAC last week... How has this issue not been resolved, it's been a thing since launch..

This is an issue on ps4 as well. Wen you enter the lobby and want to choose a loadout, this problem starts in 8/10 times. When i press ready with the given loadout and wait until opponnents are found, I can choose my loadout then. Sometimes it works somtimes not, but the game starts anyway, so I dont risk to have to leave the lobby and restart the game. @FloundinatorQQ wrote:This just happened to me again.. cleared my MAC last week... Is this happening in drop-ins or club or both? Also, does it still happen if you restart the game?

Is this happening to anyone else on your club? Also, try changing all of your visuals. Helmet, gloves, head, etc. Possibly, something is bugged and causing this. If that doesn't help, can you get me a video of what's happening?

@EA_Aljo I was the only one in my club who had this issue as of yet. I think it happened after changing all of my goalie visuals. I restarted the game around 5-6 times and still wasn't able to select a position. Then, restarted my Xbox, changed my customization and I was finally able to select a position and play with my friends. Hope this helps!

When this happens to me I restart my Xbox and then it works but if I switch games and come back into nhl 23 the same problem pops up again and I have to restart my Xbox, very inconvenient

No, that hasn’t helped and I also notice I’m getting stuck on the online vs screen as well, could this have something to do with my network type?

It's possible this is a connection issue. Especially, if you're having trouble with Online Versus since those games don't take place on our servers. What system are you playing on? You should be able to go to the network settings screen and check your NAT. If it's Type 3 or Strict, that will cause issues with connecting to other players.
