Please for the love of god make it for PC, i made the jump to pc when the next gen(ps5 & Xbox one X) consoles came out and i cant justify buyimg a console for just nhl games and im sure many are in the same boat plus the robust amount of pc users in europe who im sure would love a hockey game to play. The whole there's just no market for it argument is dumb because of course there is i mean why else would people hundreds of people in these forums year after year asking for it, or the people who are modding nhl 04 to be able to play an updated pc nhl game, or or all the different indie hockey games made/being made for pc if there wasnt a market for it

This company is having a hard time stabilizing this game, on very stable consoles/platforms. Think about it.
- @DeMiGoD1988 Meh, wouldn't say that. Over the years EA has been creeping sports titles onto PC, and it is gaining players year over year. There may be a time when we see NHL on PC again. I welcome it.
Even if they did a one off, just a console port every 5-10 years, it would make those few happy with little effort. NHL on PC would be so nice. I've read that the reasons why EA won't bring NHL to PC are lack of interest and that bringing NHL to PC would take a lot of work. I hope that someone with more information could correct me or maybe give some more reasons that I didn't list.
@DeMiGoD1988 wrote:@SnizzBarDizz2ohYou mean less then 3% of the playbase. Im sure they would be. There isn’t a market on pc for sports titles. There really never has been except racing.
also if it ever went to PC people would use controller so what would be the point?.
Oh yes, tell that to the large FIFA PC market. A market that grows every year, in part because people don't want to or can't buy the newest consoles. And do you know what grows with the PC market? The online presence. The twitch numbers go up. The Youtube numbers go up.
I have looked through every conversation on this forum on this topic and it seems to boil down to two things. People believing that the PC market is small, which is honestly pure stupidity, and people believing that NHL can't be as large as Madden etc. Hockey is like the third largest sport in the world. Football is the largest of course, by a mile, but Hockey is well up there with the big boys. The notion that NHL can't become a massive game in its own right is also rather stupid.
To me, it seems like the reason this hasn't happened is rather simple. The developers have grown stagnant, content, and scared of change. They don't want to make any large changes because they're afraid of losing the people they have while developing something else. It's a small risk honestly. The guy who keeps responding to these discussions always keeps mentioning that it's not that easy. While also saying that there isn't much graphical difference. Come on. This is not a small developer, it's not a indie developer. It's a AAA studio with resources to do this, but they're choosing not to.
Just because you have the newest console, can you seriously not see the reason people would buy it on PC? Are you so blind to everyone else and can only see things as they are in your life? Yes, people still play with a controller. But people play RPGs on controller a lot of the time too, they still buy them on PC. It's easier for a lot of gamers. Some buy it there because they say it runs better, because it's easier to mod, it usually has better graphics etc. It also simplifies the streaming process, and the recording process. Meaning a lot more people will put out content which will spread word of the game. Just the fact of it existing on steam would draw more people to testing the game.

Please, bring this game back to PC!
Yes! I want it!!!
- SnizzBarDizz2oh2 years agoNew Veteran@DeMiGoD1988 you keep saying this, yet I continue to see more and more requests for sports titles on PC. We're not all just nerds playing WoW, dude. Also, they haven't put a port out since 2009 - why not make a modern port? If it sells it sells, great! Keep it going. More money for the money hungry company! If it tanks, then great. Now we know and we'll never do it again. BUT - now we have a modern version of the game on PC - AND THE PROOF that backs up your statement. Ultimately shutting us up (giving us satisfaction). I wish I could add in a crowd booing you soundbite.
Tout simplement, pour les joueurs pc comme moi,ne pas avoir à acheter une console juste pour un jeu. En plus, une manette pour pc ne coûte pas cher...
- @jimmarshall It Will never get to pc again!
Why?
Bcause its fast and easy to refund in steam!
Take a look at the latest ”golf” game they released on steam!
Then you have your answere.
