I really wish this would come to PC. nice fan base here.

All I know is I want NHL on PC. Been having the same arguments for 10+ years now. Tired of debating. I just want the game on PC.

There absolutely is a market on PC for sports titles. It's being grossly underserved.FIFA 23 and PGA Tour 2K23 are the only major PC sports titles that have Gen 9 feature parity. Madden NFL 23 and NBA 2K23 are half-assed Gen 8 ports. The NHL, UFC, and MLB The Show series don't get ports at all. I'm convinced that EA is shipping their upcoming PGA Tour game on PC only because 2K is. EA refuses to say whether the new College Football game is coming to PC at all, when they could confirm that at any time.Do you seriously expect PC players to buy this year's inferior products to "prove their support" without any promise that next year's products will reach full parity with the Gen 9 versions? Or will they get canceled for "poor sales" because we voted with our wallets and refused to buy their inferior products? EA, 2K, and Sony are not entitled to one thin dime of our business. They have to earn it by shipping better PC games.

You'd be adding more players to online/EASHL/Ult team. 2. You're getting the game on handheld/PC with Steam Deck and other variants. 3. NHL/Madden/Fifa make their money from micro transactions. It's why by December games typically drop to 30 dollars eventually going F2P on EA Access for 5 dollars a month. Game sales are almost irrelevant. It adds value to the 15 dollar a month PC EA Access Premium. 4. Lock the game to controller input and don't worry about KB&M. Many games do this. 5. Build the game for PC first as it's easier to port from PC to console. Then vice versa. Both consoles are close to midrange PCs in spec. If an indie developer can port a game with crossplay why can't EA? Ultimately if the game reaches more sales via ult team/Game sales this grows the game. More money = more resources toward development. I'm tired of the same excuse year after year. "It's to expensive", "it's resource draining", "NHL doesn't make enough money". Make a good game, make it crossplay with all next gen consoles, get it on Steam deck/variants, Give the people what they want. He'll charge 80 for the PC version if that's what it takes. Been on here for 8 years asking for a PC port with thousands of others. My group of gaming buddies are also waiting for this but don't speak up on it. Every year is another disappointment.

None of those points apply. There are smaller games ported and they're doing fine. There is demand and there's profit from PC sales. It's just a question if EA wants the money or not.

I mean it's fine but makes no sense so there's no disagreement, i just don't see the logic. Why there's NBA 2k on PC but not NBA live? Even though demand for NBA is huge. Why there's FIFA and PES? Why PGA is on PC? Why NFL is on PC even though it's the least popular sport in the world with almost zero demand and sells 200k copies? What about MMA? Demand for MMA on PC is huge, fighting games sell very well, MMA would sell millions. WWE, Tennis games are on PC too.
NHL would sell 200-300k copies easily which is more than enough. And let me ask how much copies NHL sells on consoles? It definitely doesn't sell 10 million copies, it isn't a popular sport in general so getting free money from PC seems logical. PS5 and xbox are just mini PC's so porting is very easy, no need to rewrite anything. But i guess this is the reason why NBA live and NHL are absolutely dead. They're ignoring the biggest market.

Really wish EA would get around to bring the NHL series back to the PC. I owned it from nhl 95 till 2006. BUT when the frostbite engine works well on all platforms it wouldn't be that difficult to have a PC release. I don't like NFL, NBA, FIFA, UFC, F1.. Only sport EA has licensing on that I care for is NHL and making me have to buy a console to play hockey isn't happening. It's a shame because there is so much more the NHL franchise could do on a PC... ultrawide support would be awesome, true 4k resolution (not upscaled), higher res texxtures, faster frame rates, etc.. I just hope EA gets it together and releases NHL back to the PC before i'm old and have lost all senality lol

Today Madden 24 was announced and the PC version will finally be on par with the PS5/XSeries consoles. Before this year the PC version of Madden lacked features that the consoles had. So the PC version takes a bit more working things out than a simple port and we have seen so many games have awful PC ports that it's embarrassing.

Utter nonsense there is a solid demand for this game on PC now, PC gaming has moved forward a lot since it was removed 14 years ago. Its only a matter of time till it returns

Because they’re much more popular than nhl. Nhl doesn’t even sell well on console. Games like FIFA madden and nba sell more copies on day 1 than nhl will the whole year.

I'm not sure why people keep bringing up money as an issue. We are talking about a BILLION dollar company that probably 1000x their money every release. Even if they sell it at a loss every year, the money that they make from MUT, FUT, & HUT packs across all 3 major platforms would more than justify a release. Add in the addition of crossplay and the game wouldnt be so dead even on consoles every year.

@jmawnee I personally have no idea how much NHL would make putting it on pc, I also dunno what all it takes porting it there/ ensuring players don't hack anything.. all that being said EA does not invest much at all into developing their titles. This is why they lost to 2k in basketball and keep the NFL license to ensure a company can't make a good football game. Without competition they are not gonna put many resources into developing the game..
