Can we nerf these team builder 90 overalls. So toxic in games players obviously know how op they are stacked team builders x6 plus Mario, Gretzky, makar, McDavid, lindros, cant even knock them over unless you have 85 plus check. Even then still rough this was a bad decision ea.
My chances to win against these team are very low.
ea do you want all teams to be exactly the same? It’s probably completely mirror matches how’s the fair play and fun?
let me guess boxing week you’ll market the store all for newbies.
I’m asking you out attention to this topic.
the meta is suffer the only players that will complain are the ones taking advantage of this set up.
ea are you even playing the game and testing still?
Will you be fixing the op (means overpowered) team builder cards?
The defensive player cards are the ones most broken. Before chiming in I've watched what happens very closely with these cards and it's clearly in rediculous territory. I've played many bad players who own these cards and they pretty much result in a tough close game even if you aren't skilled at the game
Aucoin, Regehr and Mitchell literally are as fast as Bobby Orr in full stride protecting the corner boards. This wouldn't be a problem that much if they didn't hit like enraged Hulk. Seriously one hit knocked down two of my beefy (means manly and muscular) forwards and pushed them both about 15 feet in game. Further to this these hits are almost all boarding hits which it seems the refs in this game don't understand. You actually have to have the puck you can't just paste any player you want anytime you like.
Ive owned my own beefy power forwards and the hitting and speed isn't comparable. Further to this the momentum offsets on these players are way out to lunch. Just by being on the ice my teams energy bars fatigue ridiculously fast for no reason other than your game engine is performing some kind of simulation, which clearly does not match what is going on behind what the two players are doing in the game.
If the meta game game can't be balanced properly there really is no point becoming a loyal fan of this game. As it is this is my second chance on this series but I'm not giving it a third next year or ever if you can't provide better quality in the game offsets.

Agreed here with the comment.
I am really worried with new team of the year and team builders alot of synergies willbe maxed out with more stat increases and
teams will be unstoppable with protect puck and other skating skills that lure you in a hit that can’t be done. The good to decent Player base knows the tricks and they exploit every opportunity given with tools provided.
The only way to win consistently is to be a player that goes into areas of the games which allows you to make grill cheese sticks.example
cross crease
short side top shelf from corner
Michigan
circle snipes
L2 into open side
back hand deke
one handed tuck corner
5 hole
any one these goals are consistent enough to use op cards to play into an advantage.
i am leaning towards crafting my own team builders just to stay competitive but I rather counter the meta. So please ea give us something to work with here. Thank you.

I strongly disagree. Team Builders are built to be among the best cards in the game and are available to everyone. I could see an argument made if they were only available in packs but that's not the case.
You're also making more a statement about playing style than the cards being used. I can agree that NHL24 has devolved into 'Federal League' hockey and less 'National Hockey League' hockey. The style with both online and offline play is more violent and toxic than previous releases of the game. But that has nothing to do with Team Builder or any other cards in the game. It has simply become too easy to hit to not make that your playing style. Every card can hip & shoulder check with ease and actual contact isn't needed for it to be successful.
Total Control is what's responsible for what you're describing.
I understand if you don't want to play the game again or won't try the next release but if you do, make these cards a priority. Especially if you want to play online.

These 90s act higher than advertised in all categories. This is the issue. They act well beyond other 90s and affect the meta game offsets drastically and not comparably to other 90 overall cards.
In in my opinion they act like 94-95s at this point in the game. Especially problematic is that the 3 defenseman just being on the ice alter the momentum offsets fatigue dynamics without any gameplay being considered.
This is is a problem with meta game offsets, not overalls..
playing against a squad of 92 overalls you do not see these same dynamics.
this is a problem specific to these 6 cards.

This is exactly the point of Team Builders!
They are meant to have the best ratings and abilities in the game. Team Builders also represent the 'fan favorites' of the teams they represent, making them desirable and popular to use so you're going to see a lot of players with these cards on their teams.
I strongly recommend building these players, especially if you're finding them too hard to play against. They don't require Power-up Collectables and available to everyone that plays HUT all year long. There will soon be the next TB level and the further you fall behind building these items the harder it will become to overcome.

Hey Jeff thanks for adding your post
I understand what you mean, but you strongly suggest building TB. You see how that’s make it sound? Basically if you don’t you’re outside the Meta and at a disadvantage.
Either your coin up or pay out to stay relevant in the current game meta.
very unfair and unbalanced gameplay which does not promote equal play. - 2 years ago
If they have the best ratings and abilities in the game.....how can you say this there are 92s and 93s possible. As I mentioned these cards behave as 94-95s at this point in the game.
just last game in champs I checked and I can update this list as I come across these teams last player was 17-6-3
op = overpowered with emphasis on OVER.
Obviously anyone one who owns these cards can't see the issue why would you?

And just again I'm referring to these cards being meta game over powered. Last game it only took this build only 4 minutes to fatigue my first second and third lines. In constant full pressure just because five of the 6 cards were on the ice. At 4 minutes I had to take time out. Literally at opening puck drop the game has mostly been determined cuz after just 4 minutes all my tools and momentum are already lost. After 4 minutes I felt I outplayed my opponent the rest of the game but it still didn't matter. They have boss like abilities which seem to buff the entire on ice play.
This is is my complaint, not that they are a bunch of 90 overalls
they don't compare because of their unique ability to change the meta

very unfair and unbalanced gameplay which does not promote equal play.Sorry, but in a competitive mode like HUT you'll have to bring the best cards you can and TBs are among the best.
HUT is unfair in many aspects and if you're like me and not as skilled on the sticks you need to seek advantages elsewhere. And having the better rated cards is one of those.

Na I disagree I’m into div 3
my team is stacked 88 plus.
Skill is obviously there in some matches and I know where i fall
short no doubt. I understand the game very well. Again going to my original comment 6 team builds on the ice is too much op.
What about people who don’t wanna craft tb how is this fair? Are you thinking about that?
it’s basically tb or bust.with the mechanic's of the game and team builder 6 foot plus 200 lb plus your kings on the ice.
Everyone is different in playing this game but you know the good players definitely know. I doubt any top tier players are not stacked on team builders.why would anyone consider continuing playing the game with mirror matches that’s boring!

As I mentioned I'd update as I came across these teams.
Last player 18-4-3 with the build
so this player just runs at you with the defenseman and not a single changing or boarding call. Completely empties your stamina
just lets the rest of his team forcheck and actually only plays after a turnover. Runs around in o zone until full pressure engaged then starts snipes and movement
if you are telling me this is how champs is meant to be played I'm just gonna disagree

You're again equating playing style with a problem with the card builds. I agree that Total Control makes hitting far too easy but you can avoid hits with dekes and/or my favorite move, the Reverse Hit. It takes some practice but the Reverse Hit is a really nice move and often gives an advantage when used.
