AI goalie terrible on one team but great on other?

I seriously have no idea what is happening this year. 

We play 3s with an AI goalie against other teams with AI goalies.  We will do the craziest cross crease and their goalie is always following the puck perfectly....if it goes in, its barely squeezing in because the goalie is there. 

On the other side, people are scoring like 99% of their goals on us with weak cross creases and our goalie consistently doesnt move....the goal is literally half open each time they try a cross crease as if the goalie is stuck in an animation or the post. 

I cant even say its that they found an exploit because it happens in so many ways from so many different position, from the hash marks from the side of the net from anywhere really our goalie just freezes there. 

Just lost a game 7-6 where we dominated the game 16 mins on attack vs 4, 30+ shots vs 10 and their shots were all mostly mediocre slow pass cross crease where our goalie just sat on the post while on their end we would completely beat them and do a cross crease and every single time its been an easy save.   Makes 0 sense. 

We are in clubs EASHL xbox Series 3s. 

Any advices? 

Can Ai goalies be upgraded somehow?  What are we missing? 

Feels like we have an eliminator goalie.
