Once I reached the final X-factor ability slot, my X-factor points keep resetting after I try to add more with a salary perk. I’m stuck on 2/20 when I’ve bought multiple +2 X-Factor salary perks. This has never been an issue before.

It seems the conversation with your agent about renewing the perk is what's causing the totals to mess up. After renewing with my agent, my point totals went from 8/20 to 6/20. I've attached before and after screenshots. I tried adding a video, but it wouldn't work for some reason. Said the file type was incorrect even though I used MP4. Hopefully these screenshots are enough. Thanks!
I am having a freezing issue with my game. It goes to a salary perk Conversation regarding renewing a perk. Screen pops up, player skates over 2 arrows show at the bottom and then it freezes. I have restarted the console and game multiple times and nothing.
This is still an issue. It seems the entire ability system is pretty much broken this year. I just completed challenges to unlock the Third Eye and Tape to Tape abilities and they are still locked. Salary perks to add X-Factor perks are still not counting towards the total once you get to the final ability slot.
This happens not only with x-factor points but also trait points. You spend salary to obtain and earn these points and they’re taken away for some reason. I’ve purchased NHL for I can’t tell you how many years now and there seems to be more bugs every year which never seem to get fixed. Also the GM hasn’t popped up through 4 seasons so far. Last year the GM would be available every year starting in the 2nd season. So some ability challenges aren’t attainable that require you to win 4 different divisional titles. Very discouraging and disappointing to say the least considering the amount of time invested.
I am having the same issue. Not sure if it’s intentional but the X factor points go away on the temporary salary perks when the perks expire. I did not have this happen in 22 or 23. If this is intentional it’s seems quite ridiculous to have to play 10+ seasons to be able to make the money to buy the salary perks to get the max ability slots.
Is this a fix for this yet? Frustrating
I have had this issue (bug) in NHL 24 BAP since forever -- it is extremely annoying and extremely easy to reproduce. I'm trying to get my last x-factor position where you need 20/20 and it is almost impossible to get past 17/20. However, the "bug" (it is 100% not user error) is SO easy to reproduce so I really don't understand how they have not fixed this problem yet -- and I say that as a senior software developer. The issue exists in both the purchase of x-factor and trait points. I'll give you an example of two scenarios for x-factor points:
Let's say I'm at 17/20 x-factor points and I'm trying to earn the 5th and last x-factor position. I forget the name of that agent/character, but he will come up once in awhile asking if you want to re-purchase something that has expired, i.e. the days left on it's "cooldown" are over and hence is now once again available for purchase.
Scenario A: I purchase it, let's say it's to give me 2 more x-factor points, what ends up happening is that I stay at 17, but it has still charged me for the purchase, i.e. I now have less money and I have not received the points, i.e. I went from 17 to 17, no change.
Scenario B: I I decline the purchase, I don't lose any money, but I end up going down from 17 to 15.
Both scenarios are easily reproduceable. Now, I know this happened on occasion when I was trying to open up previous positions (1 to 4) in the x-factor section, but it's super easy to reproduce in the 5th position.
I can't believe that this is STILL an issue -- it should be SIMPLE to fix because it's so easily reproduceable. Is it because BAP is not the focus of bug fixes? Well, fine, but can you AT LEAST fix this super annoying one?
By the way, one very important detail, this "bug" seems to occur only when the character/agent is involved, it does not happen if you purchase x-factor points yourself. However, once you have purchase it yourself, it will end up going on a X amount of days cooldown (X being dependent on which one you bought since they have different cooldown number of days) and when that cooldown is over, he is now involved in asking if you want to re-purchase it and it is THEN that the issue will occur (refer to the scenario examples given above).
