Juxtaposing CF25 with NHL24 leaves me with one simple word: stale.
In spite of the efforts to make the NHL series appeal to more 'modern' gamers (The Fortnitification of the entire multiplayer experience), it's things like the re-issued presentation elements that seem to linger for decades, a multiplayer gameplay flow that allows 1 user to pause the game for 11 other people combined with forced cinematic cellys and cumbersome play-to-play flow.. everything feels incredibly stale.

Everyone should do themselves a favor and download the trial for CF25 just to experience the night & day difference in menu responsiveness in another EA title.
That said, I didn't venture into any online modes, so I can't say if the online-menus suffer the same fate of being clunky, so and otherwise a pain in the butt to navigate.
"Fortnitification" is the perfect way to describe the trend of this series lmfao.

Agreed, and a problem in the NHL series is that it's annual, not persistent like Fortnite. All the achievements, items, animations unlocked are all reset with mostly the same items once a year, making it all feel transient, repetitive, and ultimately uninteresting.
