Hi, I am trying to change lines in NHL 24 like the way I did it in 23. I play on Xbox one and would hit x or b to change the lines and then continue to press those buttons to get the line I would want in the game. in 24, even with switching to skill stick, the lines won’t change. The screen comes up during the game but it looks grey out or frozen. Please advise if there is something I need to do. thank you Edit: Modified the subject to better reflect the content of the post. -CM

@bubba0428 The line change controls should work the same for skill stick controls. When were trying to change lines? If it's during HUT Moments, you usually only have one line so they can't be changed.

I am playing during franchise mode. I changed the controller setting during the game. The line change came up, but were grey out and wouldn’t move when I hit the line changes like it did in 23.

I had just switched it during the game. I just restarted the game and got into a new one and the same franchise. It will still not allow me to change lines during the game.

@bubba0428 Try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 24. I'll give instructions for both consoles. There is the risk of losing offline saves and changes to settings you've made. Normally, those download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee this. Xbox - Press the Guide button and then highlight the NHL 24 tile. Hit the Menu button. It's the small one to the right of the Guide button with 3 horizontal lines on it. Next, go to Manage game and add-ons > Saved data. Delete the file with your gamertag on it. PlayStation - Go to Settings/Storage/System. Locate NHL 24 and delete the saved data. If that doesn't help, I'll be back on Tuesday to troubleshoot this further. Apologies in advance for the delay.

I just restarted the game and got into a new one and the same franchise. It will still not allow me to change lines during the game.

Having the same issue on Franchise mode, tried deleting the saved data following the steps you described and that didnt fix it. Tried starting a new franchise with line changes set to manual with a preset saved, that didnt work either. If I look at the setting while in game its set to auto, and if I change it to manual the same skaters never leave the ice but I cant get the line change prompt to appear.

I play on franchise mode on the PS5, and the line changing don’t work on it either. It said key pad right and left but, to the right to switch the offense never works.

@rikdawg74 It's ridiculous honestly. Even on Sega Genesis on NHL98 we could change lines on the fly, but now, 25 years later, we can't and it seems EA Sports can't fix the problem. I guess we can call that an evolution!
