Community managers and devs of NHL: What is the future for offline modes?
For someone who exclusively plays NHL offline, this game's features and overall quality is severely lacking. Especially when compared to what we had access to 10 years ago.
Without communication regarding the future of offline modes (communication that isn't just basic platitudes), the future of NHL is beginning to seem more and more uncertain for those who play the game for it's offline feature set.
As a consumer, I'm more than likely not going to purchase NHL 25 (or games released after) until offline modes are given more attention/priority.
As things stand currently, we are still dealing with an overall unchanged experience from last year and the year befores iteration of the series when it comes to offline modes. Coupled with low prioritization of menu performance inside these modes, it's clear that the user experience isn't a focus for EA outside of the online modes that EA profits off of.
I had messaged one of the community managers of this forum close to two months ago regarding sliders not saving/applying properly in franchise mode. While his response was prompt and courteous, it unfortunately did no offer any insight into a fix for the sliders beyond that the dev team was aware of it.
Once again, the experience of a player and many others who predominantly plays offline modes goes widely neglected. All without proper acknowledgement of the future of the franchise from EA.
I implore EA to respond to this post and open a discussion regarding the future of the game, as I feel as it stands currently, EA is hoping to drag us along until we slowly drop the game like it seems they hope.
