I read somewhere there's an official EA NHL Discord server coming? Is this true and when can we join?

I ask again what's even the point in a discord? The same exact thing that happens here & on social media will happen there. What are people genuinely expecting to get from an OfficialEA discord server?
@RatedxPGxEnigma Imo the idea of a discord would be to better organize people under 1 umbrella for potential things like finding teammates in WoC. But other than I'd feel sorry for whoever has to mod it.
