This is not available for Online Versus, unfortunately. You can only edit them in-game and then have to do it again for the next game and so on.
In-game, i can't seem to find the settings for that

As far as I know, it can be done under Manage Teams. I might be incorrect. I rarely play OV, but I know you previously could edit lines here based on feedback from others on this issue in the past.
