These requests are made quite frequently, so
I have a feeling you will get a “we’ll have to wait and see” answer here.
I remember seeing a few years ago that we are very limited to what we are able to edit with real life players due to the licence agreement the game has with the NHL/NHLPA/Alumni.
They most likely wouldn’t ever consider your suggestion for Option 2. I actually think it might have been @Froommey who had an awesome post a few years ago showing exactly how some players should look compared to their in game models and it went completely ignored. They even have one of their gamechangers who specializes in rosters who insists every year in providing outside help and it never happens.
So, I wouldn’t hold your breathe on this one.
@Beauts90Wait are you saying I might not be able to change any real players haircut because of a listening issue, or only players with face scans? It would be very appreciated to have any update about any of this from EA.
From what I recall anything that is greyed out when we go to edit player is not able to be changed due to licensing. This applies to all real life players whether they have a face scan or even a profile picture.
- @Beauts90 I really hope this isn't true, that's one of the goofiest, silliest rules to ever have. Wonder how facial hair is okay since you can give superstars in the league like Crosby/ McDavid a handlebar lol
