Floored by countless Be A Pro bugs and issues

First time playing this mode in NHL 24 on PS5 and I'm super bummed by EA. It's so buggy and I don't understand why these issues haven't been addressed.

More than half of the dialogue scenes in the game between me and my coach, I cannot select the top option. The top option will be highlighted, and if I try to change I hear the click, but the highlight does not move, and no mater what when I click accept, I always say the bottom option. Sometimes to a loss of points I would otherwise not want to lose. What's the point of having dialogue and roleplay if I can't choose my response?

Additionally, no matter whether I meet the requirements or not, I fail nearly every "media challenge." For example. I'm in the Stanley cup final, I used "persuade" and promised to win the cup after winning the first 3 games, but not sweep. It said my objective was "Win the Stanley Cup (Don't have to sweep)" -- then I play game three and lose in the last seconds as my opponents score the winning goal, and the dialogue section afterwards says I failed, and the reporter says " The fans have witnessed the biggest collapse in Stanley Cup history." and I lose a ton of points even though it's not over yet and I'm up 3 games to 1 in the series.

Also, my personality is "rebel" despite always attempting to put the team and management first an rarely picking star answers.

My favorite part of this mode is the roleplay element, the BEING a Pro of it all, but it doesn't really seem like I'm in control of much at the end of the day, making the mode ultimately useless.

I hear you, and yes, it is buggy and even if things worked better, it still lack so much depth. Everything is based on you becoming a productive star player. If you have other plans, the coach and everyone around you can't understand that you are a grinder/enforcer/dfd, and as such isn't usually viewed as the guy who step up to score the big goals.

But as a grinder or enforcer, you have a fighting chance to score that goal the coach wants you to help out with. But as a goalie... I mean, yes, I sure deserve a monsterous boost of xp if the team is down and I score the game-tying goal. 😞

I really hope Be a Pro get's some love in NHL 25. I mostly play franchise mode, and while it leaves plenty to be desired, I feel for everyone who like Be a Pro. And that years after it was one of the game modes that got a bit of an overhaul, things quickly got quiet about it.

Gosh, I've felt so sassy lately in this forum, but at least it is towards the game and not the people. 👿

I am totally disgusted at EA. I have been playing this game for decades it seems and the first time i try playing a BE A PRO session it constantly fails. I get to a screen could be 2 games in could be 60 and the coach says i had a good year and thats it, it freezes and i cannot go any further and have to start over again. When i do try and go to a different saved file there is like 10 and they all start at the same freeze spot. I have to sim a day and the coach conversation comes back and it freezes. Absolutely brutal EA
