Game Speed Opinions?

Would like to hear other people's opinions on the game speed.

In my opinion it seems to be a bit too fast. There is times when it's near on impossible to keep up with how quick things are happening when playing the CPU.  3/4 passes between the cpu players within a couple of seconds to set up a goal. My eyes struggle to keep up with it never mind my reactions.

I don't expect every aspect of the game to be real but I think having the game speed and player reaction times  as close as possible to real life would make the game more enjoyable.

Just my opinion. 😊

    I only play HUT.

I used to play the offline modes but they haven't changed in so long that it got boring.

  • @Stubo_NHL24Its too fast & the solution is already pre built into the game— just change default game speed sliders to 1 or 2 for VS & 6's CHEL

But they want it to be an arcade game so we're stuck w/ this

I'm not to familiar with playing hut , but are you allowed to edit the difficulty and the gameplay sliders?  Is it also online and offline ? Thank you for the info

You can change difficulty but no sliders. @20Portugal04

Squad battles and Rush are against the cpu. Rivals and Hut Champions are online.

  • The skating speed seems appropriate for a videogame. The speed of your actions mostly the automatic ones while it varies from one match to another, i find it usually too slow. I think it's related to your connection quality to the server. I have a feeling it's the way this game is coded, when it decides how your avatar handle a loose puck in different situation per example. The game was much faster in the earlier installment (pre '13), yet i feel we could keep up better with what happened on the screen and react accordingly. It was a better competitive gaming experience imho.

Idk it just feels like EA NHL to me. I've gotten so used to it that it feels normal. That said, I'd be open to trying an online game with the speed slider moved down 1 notch to see what that played like.

I will say, some wonky things are going on with speed in this game where players either get random speed bursts or slow-downs in certain situations. For example: there is a way to speed boost while hitting in this game that allows you to destroy incoming forwards even if you're out of position. All of the top players utilize this.
