Is there a way to disengage hitting while near the net in the offensive zone? You used to be able to hit LT to go for the rebound but instead my guy will just hit someone instead and give me an interference penalty. It’s pretty frustrating
@Anelko89And it's not just your guy, it's 4 or 5 players scrambling to the net, all of them throwing their elbows up at the same time.
Vision control was a necessary feature here. Holding LT should deactivate hitting and allow you to chip away or poke at the puck if it is near. They really need to look at this and revert the change.

This is a major issue and %100 needs to be addressed. You can’t even bother to play the rebound anymore without drawing a penalty.

just some hints how to not take a penalty when trying to shoot in offensive zone in front of the net. For rebounds, you have to put L stick down and R stick up at the same time. This will not trigger a shove animation, it's a safe move. Regarding OT, you have to use manual OT, so first press LT and put R stick down and wait for the pass, you will see that your stick is back and up. From that position if you put R stick up, even if the pass is not coming, shove animation is not triggered, it's a safe move and you will not take a penalty. Of course, right timing is required to connect the puck.
Holding L2 still works for me this year but I'm on skill stick controls.
Pressing the sticks in opposite directions did not stop the hitting animation for me and the other shot is not meant for rebounds on the side of the net. These controls in front of the net have effectively eliminated most if not all possibility of playing the rebound without taking a penalty.
