How to turn off Button icons from appearing when passing?

Other aspects have made me stop playing but all the clutter with button icons I don't use are definitely annoying. I wish they looked even just one step ahead when adding new features - the ability to turn this off should have been a no brainer

People have been asking for icon passing in this game for years man...  You don't have to use it, and the icons aren't at all intrusive.

Exactly, barely any second thoughts on the changes and new features and they simply went all out with everything thinking we would test the game for them. 
There's a few other things that should have a disable option too, protect puck cough reverse hit cough...My god I've repeated those so much already, I'm tired of my guy making some weirdos one hand move, passes, shots animation because of the protect puck...and what else to add for reverse hit on TC...

This is bang on. It's an unforced error. The devs could have saved themselves from so much negativity if they had just included options to individually toggle new elements off. I would have virtually no complaints if I could have classic skill stick controls (and disable icon passing), remove the pressure meter from the ice, and disable the "Tunnel of Doom" celebrations. 

Unfortunately, nothing is happening about it and my copy of the game is lying somewhere dusty.

I switched between skill stick, total control and hybrid and none of them turn the icon passing off. Wish they had a way to turn that and the pressure gauge off. There is too many things on the screen.

The fact you cant turn of this ULTRA ANNOYING stuff off is RIDICILOUS. They are still flexing with their roster update AKA NEW GAME features but cant provide trivial things like this... Or coop seson.. just basics. EA JUST DONT CARE. 

I just want to play hockey with clean screen and this is lice damn circus with HUGE icons.Forced preassure cyrcle the same thing.

Just shame on you EA, no wonder you are one of the worst companies worldwide.. You just dont care, laughin customers to the faces and earning moneys.... 

Your games are expensive even on gamepass EA.

EXACTLY same for me. Such kiddy annoying stupid stuff and FORCED. 

I didnt paid for "NEW" nhl about YEARS alredy. 

How hard could be to make ON/OFF option 🙂)))) They are just laughin ppl to faces and ppl happy pays.
