@KidShowtime1867 I was skating away because I thought I would have intercepted that pass and with the boards it's difficult to see. I would understand if that was a saucer pass at least but this is a terrible pass being rewarded. There are soooo many examples like this. Have you even played this game?
EA_Aljo, are you saying that nothing will be done about forwards skating through defensemen and retaning possession? When do you ever see this in real life? By skating through I obviously mean that we're clearly colliding. I am skating right over the puck itself and the forward isn't even trying to protect the puck he's just turning into me. Why is my guy not knocking the puck loose? Again, I poked first then and skated right on top of the puck. I am clearly all over that forward, why does he get rewarded? Same with teal in that other play.

Where did I say nothing would be done? I don't see how I remotely gave that impression. I broke down the clips you provided.
Yeah, you were making pretty significant contact with that forward and the puck is knocked loose. Look at the positioning of both of you though. Your back is turned, the puck comes loose and keeps traveling in the direction it was headed. The forward is in a far better position to regain possession. Just being all over the carrier doesn't mean you automatically cause a turnover. You could have shoved them there to cause more separation.
- @EA_Aljo I cannot understand why, myself being an amateur hockey player, can easily push a non-moving object that's 2 feet away using a stick, but my avatar who's supposed to be a pro hockey player with 90+ defensive awareness, 90+ stick checking and 4 defensive perks on will need 4 pokechecks AND a bodycheck in order to knock the puck more than 3 inches away from the puck carrier, even though it's within reach, me skating right through both the stick and the puck even, for about 3 seconds with the puck right there in front of me without any any attempt from the offensive player to protect it, but actually pushing through me like I'm just a strong head wind in a tunnel,
and eventually coming through the other end with the puck still attached to his stick.
If EA can't even recognize there's something off about the physics in this game, seeing these videos, there's no hope for this game.

But you're completely ignoring the mistakes you're making in the clips you've posted.

If EA can't even recognize there's something off about the physics in this game, seeing these videos, there's no hope for this game.The difference between you being an amateur hockey player and your avatar is that your avatar is in a video game that is basically made up of a bunch of text telling it what to do. This game is not meant to be a 1:1 recreation of what it's like to step in to a pair skates and perfectly reproduce being a pro hockey player.
You could probably use one properly timed poke check to move the puck more than 3 inches. I do this very frequently by poking when I'm in good position. I'm not saying I never spam it or every poke is well separated from the carrier. I too have those moments of frustration where a couple of pokes still results in the forward getting it back. That's also because I didn't get a good poke on it. The community has been complaining about auto poke checks. Now you're complaining about pokes not hitting the puck well enough to knock it away. In most every case, that's due to not getting a solid poke on the puck. Also, the puck is normally traveling in the same direction as the carrier. If you don't get a good poke on it, changes are good it's not going to change direction much. Which also means the forward is in a better position to pick it up. Not to mention, they often have higher abilities that allow them a better chance of regaining control. This is why it seems they are pushing through you. Your back is turned to the puck while the carrier is facing the puck and are in a better position to pick it up again.
I'm not saying the game is perfect and we don't need to make pokes better. There's always room for improvement. I'm saying not everything is the fault of the game and there are times where a poke isn't quite on target isn't going to result in the puck getting good separation from the carrier. in top ranked 6s games if you miss a poke you give the forward a breakaway. thats why he's giving his back to follow the forward after the poke is missed, which is a 95% chance in this nhl 24 game. The game is sloppy, in the slot yesterday ive seen people get poked 2-3x and get the puck back right away everytime. Force and reward is now the type of club games we have. Give us nhl 12-15 back it was the perfect years

The best in the world at playing this game who compete for money hardly poke in situations they should because they know it's smarter to wait for another player to be around in case the poke check doesn't work because it does cause 1 on 0's with the tendie.
They more often than not skate with a player as opposed to being proactive in 1 on 1 situations because it's too risky to poke or go for a hit with nobody around to bail them out of the forward picks it back up.
