I'd have no problem with this if EA came out and said this was supposed to be an arcade game w/ sim elements. I think they could make a great game if they went all in on making NHL Hitz style games. But they advertise this as an "NHL" game that struggles resembling the actual product. Who do EA Sports games even cater to anymore? Certainly not the sim crowd, the comp scene is P2W, and is a casual fan really going to be interested in games that are annually rated 1/5? The only thing these things got for them are they're the only game in town, and that sucks

@RatedxPGxEnigma Pay to win is very profitable, however. EA is focused on microtransactions across titles. They're doing it in the new Sims game, they did it in the Star Wars game, it's central to their business model. Those who are looking for a hockey sim pay just for the game and not for the microtransactions, so they are focused on making people do the pay to win stuff - and part of that is making the hockey sim experience less enjoyable in hopes that you will try and switch to microtransactions... I mean HUT.
