Knocked #2 draft pick out of the league

Got drafted #2 overall on my first season of Be a Pro NHL24, picked up by Anaheim Ducks.

This seems sadly to have knocked Leo Carlsson out of the league. I can't see him in any of the other teams or in statistics for the league overall or in the rookie stat lists.

Was looking forward to playing with him or at the very least see him get picked up as #3 on another team.

I started up a new Be a Pro career on another team and Leo is there on the Anaheim Ducks roster as he should be.

Anyone else noticed similar issues, knocking the same # draft pick as you out of the league?

    Getting drafted to Chicago Blackhawks keeps Bedard in the line up. Though I did start directly in the NHL this time, which probably means I got drafted last or similar. Perhaps Bedard gets knocked out if you get drafted as #1.

    If you get drafted #1 by Chicago (at least as a forward), Bedard ends up with Anaheim or Seattle.

    I got drafted first overall and I can not find bedard anywhere unless the team did not sign him to an mhl contract yet

    Thanks for the reply @GeeHostMax, appreciate it. I believe I've played against him and Chicago in a nhl24 mode outside beapro. (Blasphemy I know) He was wearing #16 at the time. Comments above in this thread also substantiates him being in the game. He might have been added later than others though in this years version for the reason you mentioned, contract signing date and what not. I'd have to check in game again though to be sure.

    @Riteia Bedard went 4th or 5th on my BAP file lol I went 1st and he ended up with Sharks

    @Staerdur I think it depends on which path u take or which roster update you might use. Cause I don't even remember seeing Leo Carlsson. I started BAP right away. I think he signed a bit later and depend upon ea they take a while to get that info into game

    @GeeHostMax You're probably right about that. Would be nice to be able to update the roster on an ongoing BAP career, but likely that might also be a good way to make a mess.
