Looking for a few tips.

How do I aim a toe drag shot?    Left stick doesn't seem to do much when holding in X and release for a shot. Usually goes anywhere other than where I want it to 🤦

Board battles - I never seem to come away with the puck.  I know how to pin a player to the boards but when that isn't an option I always get over powered and lose the puck. My defence is rated 88 so I must be doing something wrong.

Stick lift and tie up stick -  2 things I never use. At what point during a game should I use them?

    Hey, @Stubo_NHL24

You should be able to aim a toe drag like any other shot. Have you tried going in to practice mode to try it out?

For board battles, are you kicking the puck to a teammate or just pinning yourself until the puck is taken by an opposing player?

I use the stick lift frequently. Mainly just when I'm too close for a poke check. Most often from the side of the carrier when I feel I'm in good position for it. The stick tie up in front of the net I used a lot in 23, but it doesn't seem to be as easy to execute now so I'm using it less.

I haven't tried it in practice mode, just in the Nasher objective. It's not something I would normally use during a game. When I hold down X is seems to lock me to the position I'm facing.

I know how to pin and kick the puck to a team mate. I don't think I put it right. Just say for example the puck goes behind the net and I'm battling with an opposition player I'll use the right stick to try to push them so I win the puck. I've tried flicking it for a shoulder check or push it up and down for a shove. I very rarely seem to win the duel. I have no problem with checking anywhere else on the ice or poke checking it just seems it's when I'm close to the boards or behind the net I'm getting shoved about way too often. It's not the AI because it's just the same when I play on Rivals.

I'll give the stick lift tips a try.

    Thanks 👌🏒

Stick lift would probably be good for this behind the net battles. I've had a lot of success with it there. Otherwise, I'd try to poke it away and hope one of my teammates could pick it up. I also may try pinning them and then having a teammate come in to battle for the puck.

Yeah, it's not often I do the toe-drag shot. Sometimes I'll use it when coming at the goalie from an angle so that I can sort of drag it around the goalie's poke. Otherwise, I just use the toe drag to get around defenders.
