for offline players, the mention of significant reduction of cpu/cpu teammate penalties could be bad and could turn the game back like it was in previous years where a game had like 1 powerplay each. no mention of pressure system changes for the next patch in terms of mechanism or option to turn off pressure meter. Just discussion on what possibly be tuned for later down the line. At least that wss my interpretation.no mention of improving dump in strength. With the R2 used to dump its much stronger than R1, but it would be nice to get a little extra height and less loading up time.95 percent of the fixes are for online play from the sounds of it. Michigan move abuse, glitch goal reduction, etc.For me offline play as of today is already good and much bette than at release, so I personally see little to no benefit for the upcoming patch for offline players. I am mostly afraid of the penalties ....it will hurt offline gameplay if they reduce it too much like how they have done in previous years' patches.

I give this guy massive props to be out there and talking about the game no matter what people say about the product in general. He does not have an easy time doing this job after what has been going on the last few years with such a horrible product. Good on EA and the NHL devs for getting our there and talking to the community.Now that being said, I have 1 thing that really irked me. The fact that he said that goalies are in a really good place right now. Is that for real? He says something about goalies having .900 plus save percentages and I'd like to know where those save percentages are? You can beat the goalie with the same move over and over and over in this game on any level so really, how can that be in a good place? Goalies in 24 are horrible. They do the dumbest things, shots go through goalies like thwy aren't wearing equipment.The other thing that kind of bugged me was saying that if there is a whistle they should still be under pressure and that a whistle wouldn't stop the pressure. If you have a real life situation like a long time in the zone and get a whistle and a line change, why are the players still super slow and fatigued? Makes zero sense.Other than those things, everything sounds pretty good and am cautiously optimistic about what the patch will be. Once again, EA does not have a good track record of improving things.

He says that pp and pk are a part of the story of hockey, but no mention of being able to flip the puck out in penalty kill situation or just being under pressure in a regular situation

@Treatmentworke66I've repeated that quote for myself too. That PP and PK is a gamechanger.But at the same time, it has never been important to clear the zone, ice the puck when you at PK. Other words, to play special teams authentic to the real world.PP is also something that never been a close clone on how it looks like IRL.But just to set up properly has never been that easy, by different reasons.

I haven’t got around to watching this yet, and seeing how it’s 30 minutes long I honestly probably won’t.

There’s no way he said this and actually believes it is there? Or is he aware that there is more than one mode that is offered for the game?

@rabid55wolverine Yeah I'm not a fan of his goalie talk and fatigue. I mean goalies just don't get tired like they do in the game. Blackwood against the Avalanche didn't magically look weaker after all the shots. Goalies should be elite fitness but they seem to make them beer league goalies who got a gut and are overweight.

I watch/listen to 4 hour podcasts over the course of a day or two and I'm a working, married man. I'll pop them on while washing the dishes or drivng to work or doing laundry or walking the dog or what have you. 30 minutes would be cake...
