NHL 24 Achievement "Break Gretzky's Record in Be a Pro"

According to PSNProfiles, less than 50 or so players got the plat across both PS4 and 5 so it shows how uninterested people are with the list making it one of the rarest trophies out there (I believe it only tracks users with an account but still..). 

When it was first introduced i was stoked to beat all the records but I'm an online main so offline stuff, especially the Great One's record and the fact they added unskippable scenes, is just yucky.

The only time it looked interesting was when Bardown livestreamed beating it in 32 hours straight. That's the same amount of time it takes to beat the main stories of Elder Scrolls, GTAV & Yakuza 0! We are gonna need a bit more than 100G & a 10 second cutscene if EA actually wants people to try accomplishing it.

This times 100!  That Gretzky trophy is the worst.  So mind numbingly boring.

I really want to get the game (I skipped 22 and 23 because of it) so I am hesitant for the same reason! I actually haven’t finished it on NHL 21 and I normally platinum every NHL game I play.  Just a colossal waste of time.

Problem is, I am sure they already have the trophies decided and I bet they have it in again sadly.  All of these EA Sports games copy and paste the majority of trophies year to year.

Coming from a trophy whore background and writing guides on PST, I understand the majority of casual players don't care about em but as someone who loves gaming in general, I feel like a trophy list should be fun and engaging and should give more of a connection with the dev team.

By all means, add breaking Gretzky's record in to the game, just make it fun to do so - Currently, all it does is show shortcoming in the games code: things like forced cutscenes, slow loading, unnecessary grind for the sake of it.

The constant copy/paste of the lists says the devs don't really care; yes, the icons are slightly different but freshness stops there.

I personally don't like to be shoehorned/forced into specific modes. Takes Ones for example: I was a previous global champ and played a lot of it but my friends don't have the time to play much and we all agree matchmaking is horrendous, but now you need to get like 4 trophies associated with it.

They mean nothing in the grand scheme of things but there are still good trophies and bad ones, ones that trickle into every facet of the game

Please please do not add this achievement again. Nobody like playing be a pro for 30 hours and not being able to skip the dialogue after every couple of goals. It was fine for NHL 21 but please don’t out this in again. Change up the achievements/trophies for be a pro and come up with something creative. I love the NHL games and always get them every year but this might be a reason for me to stop.

Curses, they kept in the same monotonous “Greatness” trophy AGAIN.  I think I’m going to skip NHL 24.  I was considering playing with all the gameplay changes but nope, the trophy list is rinse and repeat.

No one wants to play Be A Pro that long to break Gretzky’s career point total.  Such a dull experience whether you cheese it or not.

I don't know why anyone would play this on easy for any reason. YAAWWWWN. IF IT IS EASY IT ISN'T AN ACCOMPLISHMENT.

Why not one for breaking ,50 goals in 39 games on superstar?

Or the season points total?

These can be accomplished without having to cheat the system and would feel like a real accomplishment, unlike scoring 20 goals in a mindless exhibition 

Superstar level awards should not be achieveable on a lesser level. It is like playing Gretzky vs jr hockey players

The only thing I can think of more boring than playing this on rookie for 32 hours is WATCHING someone do it
