NHL 24 another year they dont listen to offline community

Been saying it for years...you can't put in $ effort and expect to produce a $$$$ game, even though they charge $$$$ every year.  

This isn't a "new game"...it's not a sequel, never has been.  It's a roster update with a little sizzle meant to seduce people into another sub-standard version of the game.  

Not to mention the fact they're just adding things back in and acting like these are new things.  Checking players into the bench?  Used to have it.  Breaking the glass?  Used to have it.

They followed the same blueprint and timeline as all other releases.  A quick video showing the new moves in game, but purposefully ignoring pretty much everything else.  Next are up the individual "deep dives" and you'll see all of the same things all over again.

No changes to franchise or Be a Pro mode...and this is supposed to be a $60+ game?  There hasn't been a version of this game worth $60 in years.

This year's game is most definitely not a roster update. There's been a high amount of changes based on community feedback. I definitely get that it's not for everyone, but to say it's only a roster update just isn't accurate. There are a heavy amount of changes and so far, there's a lot of positive feedback.

We haven't had broken glass and hitting over the boards for the better part of a decade. I don't like how it sounds as if we're calling them new, but to a lot of people, they are. These are also 2 things the community has been asking to have brought back for many years now so hopefully, that is the important part rather than how it was introduced.

EA just doesn't care anyone else than online players and everything is made only for them... And how many years has the game been almost same for offline game modes? This year AGAIN they didn't do anything for offline game modes AND THEY EVEN ADMITTED THAT so if that isn't ringing any bells who likes to play offline only... This at least made it very crystal clear that offline players doesn't mean anything for EA!

When you have seen offline players wishes come true or EA taking offline players opinions seriously? These games are made only for ARCADE LOVING ONLINE PLAYERS and EA is listening their opinions and making them wishes come true...

I have already skipped this series because EA made it pretty clear that announcement where they said that they havent MADE ANYTHING NEW FOR OFFLINE GAME MODES! And of course the removing hybrid controls wich was the biggest thing for me because with disability what i have... I couldn't use skill stick or any other controls so... What can i do? I cannot play at all and now when they said that they didn't even do anything new for offline game modes... I just removed myself from the EA customers list...

And what comes to removing stuff where EA has been very good for years now... Maybe it is time for EA to REMOVE all the offline game modes if they wont even bother to do ANYTHING for them... So why even keep them there? Just remove EVERYTHING offline related so it makes releasing these ARCADE ONLINE ONLY games easier... 

Agreed! This is by far the worst update I've seen to the game.  I love hockey and unfortunately this company has a monopoly on the game. I won't be buying 24. It's just not good. 

As an OFFLINE player only, 24 doesn’t entice me one bit… I’ve made 23 play to my liking. It wasn’t easy, good lord I’ve worked hard in the trenches.

Had hopes that 24 would ease the pain, but again seeing EA doing nothing for offline modes, removing stuff again and adding bunch of stuff on the ice as well is the icing on the cake for me…

Won't be purchasing 24 at all. Maybe, just maybe, will give it a try when it comes "free" on EA Play. Will get my hockey fix for years to come with my version of 23.

And you know what, EA doesn’t care one bit. They gonna turn this game into Fortnite hockey, selling packs and season pass and stuff. That’s all that matters to them in the end.

There’s little doubt that there are a lot of gameplay changes, which I personally think are better suited offline than online. 
However,  for many offline players, myself included, gameplay is only half of the game. Some barely even play the games so it barely matters at all. Although not confirmed, by the sounds of it it does in fact seem like the only changes to the offline “modes” outside of gameplay will be a roster update.
