To date, I can genuinely say NHL 24 is the WORST hockey game ever made. - $90 to $130 for an unfinished game. - Bugs that essentially break the game where it’s un-playable. - Glitch goals are 10x worse than previous games. - The new “Checking System” delivers the same hit in every scenario and hip checks are so overpowered. Hitting controls are also awkward.- Pressure system is actually a joke, very overpowered and the fact that it’s Ai controlled made game scenarios unrealistic. - BUTTON MAPPING IS THE WORST THING BROUGHT TO GAMING! The biggest problem with the game is Ai generated momentum. The amount of times we’ve absolutely dominated a team just to be met with a Ai goaltender who saves EVERY shot even while under pressure with zero energy. Then, opposing team gets every puck in the back of the net with no effort, our goalie practically moves out of the way for them.Pressure System and Ai players are all synced to EA’s exhaust engine that’s clearly unfinished and is ridiculously incapable of being consistent. The game decides who wins and who doesn’t. Worst NHL game ever made bro trust me, you’ll see later on how bad it truly is.

You are 100% correct man. I play online vs every night and this is the worst release in 15 years i swear. I buy the new release every year. Everything you stated is accurate. The glitch goals you speak of are more than 75% of the goals and I blame this ridiculous pressure system that makes the ai go bananas and you can expect a goal coming guaranteed. They stupified all of the more difficult moves. You can't protect the puck or drive the net. You can't skate backwards sometimes or its delayed and its too late. You can't do a proper wraparound anymore. You can't saucer the puck over anything. You can't dump the puck down the ice The action tracker replays after the game are more glitched out than ever. The replays are still terrible. Just so disappointed. Take it from a guy who plays about 900 online vs games a year. This version is awful. Last year it was stick lift penalties every time. Xfactor is useless. Now they have made the ai take over the game with low skilled players with seeing eye "pressure system" fluke goals lol.

What I wrote in the survey:I was surprised to see changes to the presentation. You didn't explain it well leading up to the release. It's much better than NHL 23 because in 23 you took away so much. The removal of opposition goal replays was very confusing. But it's back this year, good. We need the true broadcast experience to be back though. When it comes to presentation there are some things that need improvements:* Highlight angles need to be more focused. A replay angle where you see the whole ice isn't good for obvious reasons. Watch a broadcast of NHL and you will see that this angle is NEVER used in a goal replay.* X-factor replays and sound fx feel way too much and poorly executed. Please remove them.* Audio/immersion is better in NHL 24 but a bit too much treble in the high frequencies. Makes my ears bleed after playing for a long time.* The celebration angle is a bit too much (Flex Moments). But the team celebrating after that inital sequence is really good. Personally, I preferred how it worked in 23.* The player indicator is a step backward. You should have an option to display the old triangle over the heads. It looks way more realistic.* The pressure system is nice but tone it down like 50%. The player's stamina drain is a bit too much. But you should be able to turn off the meter in the center of the ice and have it show up in the score overlay and in the board graphics.For controls, you should include the old skill stick controls with the ability to hit and protect the puck like in the older games. This can be hard to reverse but it would be nice to see, at least in offline modes. Player face scans should be a focus for next year and animations. I feel like NHL 23 has better animations in the gameplay. A bit more stale now.I did only play the test version this year and it's the first year I didn't buy the game since 2009. I want it to feel like playing and watching real hockey. I didn't get the feeling at all of it this year. Also, the modes I played the most didn't receive much love.

@GrimReignXthat comment about hits all being the same is not brought up enough. Last year the hits looked a lot more realistic and varied. This year it looks like a perfect MMA takedown every time.

Are u experiencing interference calls off of the face off of u switch your player immediately after losing a face off??? It’s absurd

I agree on all fronts. The computer literally. Plays good for one team and * for another no matter what . It's infuriating how much the momentum swings by someone ragging the puck in the O zone while taking beer league shots and bouncing off of your user hits pokes and positioning like a god to be knocked off the puck by your own player or hit by them on the same type of play.
The Ai will ruin momentum for you on purpose taking penalties or not changing your player to the correct player or not changing it at all till it's too late.
They literally slow your players down on purpose leaving positioning and actual hockey plays * useless.
The team building players are OP as *. If they have Mario or gretz your team plays like shittttrt. I'm ready to sue these pieces of *.i have saved countless disgusting plays.

I am in agreement with you on this and also a longtime player through the years. I would add the controls being frustrating as I can't use skill stick without a glaringly big hitting disadvantage, and I can't use the new layout without a huge deking disadvantage (pressing down on the joystick messing up my breakaway). There is no comfort zone and it took a long time for me to learn skill stick. The bugs aren't as many but last a lot longer with no updates (I currently can't buy anything in auctions due to a bug for three days). I have 2 different "cases" in for the same problem with 2 different ea help providers, neither of which are even close to knowing anything about the game. When they ask a simple question such as your email, you wait 5 minutes after your response for another question (took 40 minutes to get to 5 questions). The game is now unplayable to me so I'm finally quitting this waste of a time.

While I agree with some of the issues and bugs, I think this game is by far the best NHL game in the past few years. It actually feels like hockey to some extent. I do not like the reverse hit button...it's obvious that programmers for this game don't know what a reverse hit is. EA a reverse hit is a function of balance and possibly checking ability...i.e. this is not a "button" but a response to a reaction - user A tries to hit user B and based on the response of user B, a reverse hit is either performed or the hit of user A works on user B. Also the passing is atrocious, even with the directional buttons which I like. 1 Passing is 9/10 times based on a strategy you don't choose. Players will try to cycle in bad circumstances instead of creating space and getting the puck to the point or quarterback on the PP. I find my passes go to the other team more than they do my CPU teammates and that is with 100 in passing accuracy, passing assistance and 0 in interceptions by the CPU...how is this possible?

The NHL and the NHLPA should be embarrassed to be associated with this game. EA just makes the game worse year after year.
They need to start from scratch and design the game on the new consoles and for the pc community. The menu screens load times are like there still 2-3 console upgrades behind.

I actually really love this game now. The pressure system has been improved, the hip checks and Michigan are too easy and they still haven't fixed the action tracker replays, but the physics of the game itself are improved as always. I've adjusted. Its strange to me that most one trick ponies are still not using these moves when they are so simple now but whatever. I use everything so after I got used to total control it's been great.

This game is insane. This match tells everyone about this game. This guy didnt do anything. There are all his 4 goals. Also he puckragge... Or someone explain me, how can this happen. i also attach whole video of the game who is interest, how this game is absolutly not about skill, but sometimes its already decided in lobby.
