Nhl 24 hitting
Why did you changed the hitting ? The hitting and hitting controls in this game is not working at all . Are you planning on bringing back hitting and the hitting controls (skill stick ) that we have ...
I find the hitting mechanics in this game atrocious.
I try to line up and it takes a second to do the animation of the should check or "Shove" and either it doesn't do anything, hits and looks broken, or lunges the wrong way.
I agree the hitting in past games was substantially better. No one ever did complain about it.
Merging the two hitting mechanics to keep the simplicity and adding a power hit that works like it does currently. I think this would give us better options across all play styles. Also more fluidity with the physicality in the game.
Just being able to rub a player our on the boards without that shove animation would be awesome. If i want to dump him over the boards (L1 + Hit Button) to create the power move to put him over or an open ice hit that is amazing vs just a plain hit. Can use it to knock someone off the puck so you don't get a penalty vs (L1 + Hit button) to power shove him down and potentially take a penalty if executed wrong.
Obviously the power hit vs non hit can be mapped differently for how the chosen control scheme is set (hybrid vs SS).
Just my two cents on the matter,
@Blacksunshine93I agree.. going for a hit while minimizing the risks of taking yourself out of position has always been hard, but this year it's just extra penalizing because of the exaggerated animation. It's also much harder to execute this year because of the time-wasting wind up and the speed of the forwards. Add in the input lag (been getting 100ms gameplay feel with 13ms ping for the last2 weeks) and it's near impossible to be physical yet to remain responsible defensively.
Tell me about it. The amount of times that failed hit animation and trash execution has left me short handed is insane. I just don't bother hitting people anymore. just run into them hoping the get staggered enough to let go of the puck or fall over.
Most unrealistic expectation of a hit i have ever seen.
It's more like a crappy Madden football shoulder check than a hockey one.
