I'm out for this year ... Pretty dissapointing that one of the big features the Dev Team promotes is so widely hated by the community.
Yet again, it seems like the Dev Team doesn't listen to the people who buy the game. I’ve been very vocal about this, and YES it was a TERRIBLE idea. I also believe that this was already in the game before but without the meter… In fact it was in the game for years…
When you put BIG STUFF on the ice or on the screen EA, at least make it an option to turn it OFF !
I also won’t buy 24 because of this after buying every edition since NHL91.

The pressure system was not in the game previously.
- @PernellKarl027 Idk if you played the tech test or not. But the feeling you get from a powered up meter is very noticeable compared to anything of the past. Gameplay wise NHL 24 truly feels so much different and the meta will more than likely change.

Not like it’s presented in 24 obviously, but I can show tons of video that when a team is cycling and pinning another one in the zone, you can definitely feel the D team losing abilities and having a very hard time getting out of the zone when they do get a touch of the puck.

But I really hope that players don’t lose too much of their abilities when pinned ? I also hope it can be tuned for offline peeps ?
Imagine a guy like McDavid losing his speed when he gets the chance to jump on a loose puck in the D zone 🤔
- @PernellKarl027 When I was playing defense in the beta I felt so slow especially if i tried to gain speed from standing still. I was getting walked from behind the goal line til I realized I just can't stop moving or it is game over. I never experienced that from any of the others. Remember I'm also a 6v6 player.

This did not exist previous to NHL 24 so it's possibly confirmation bias.
