I agree, it really takes you out of the game and looks awful. Kills the momentum, energy and joy of scroing a goal.
I do not believe we will be able to turn it off since they would have said so by now. Hopefully they can tune it so it does not start so quickly after the puck hits the net. The way it is now is way to soon and feels like a commercial break on youtube that hits at the wrong time.
I'm kind of assuming it's initiated by one of the face buttons but does it still trigger to the player default if you press nothing within a brief time frame?
Used to like wheeling away from the net on a goal and performing the one knee celebrations and this looks to be killed by this cutscene.
Just seems totally misplaced from the action. It's more of a Fortnite Emote sort of thing disconnected from the ice and your teammates.
I hope i am wrong but I think it triggers after every goal.
It seems like the devs or whoever that makes the decisions plays fortnite and try to make NHL look and feel like fortnite. I would rather they watch hockey broadcasts and try to make NHL look and feel like hockey….

If a lot of people come out and say it's stupid then maybe, MAYBE they'll make it optional. Unfortunately I doubt it. Realism is out the window now, it's all about gimmicks for YouTube influencers to make content about. Yes I know I sound like a dinosaur but that's literally what's happening.
It's like they're actively trying to push away the diehards. At least make this stuff optional! I've never been so sure in 30 years that I don't want this game before it even comes out.

I had such high hopes thinking that they were rebuilding this game since they completely ignored us for all of 23. But after seeing this garbage, I really feel it’s going to be another unfinished gimmicky train wreck.
