Wanted to add to the Goalie helmet part.

 

I believe there are several ways for EA to improve this and the most easy way (as mentioned) would be to be able to edit colors, straps and the grid.

 

The more extensive upgrade could be its own helmet designer. For example, they could implement something similar to the way you can design cars in Need For Speed  (also EA).

 

if they would add all the logos, patterns, text with different fonts and regular shapes and then let the community create the designs that you could download then EA wouldn’t have to bother and it would be something a lot of gamers could sit for hours just editing.

This is how it’s done in NFS and I believe most goalies would have their original designs created by the community pretty quickly.

 

You could also have votes for best designs within each teams or even if brands like CCM, Bauer or Warrior would like to throw challenges with their logos on some helmets. This could then also be added to basically all game modes more or less.

 

Of course their could be some inappropriate designs but it’s being regulated in NFS so why wouldn’t it be possible for NHL?
