Well said Tobbish. I got the most problems with the line changes, I know it still takes time to get used to it, but man, why change it in the first place 🙁 So there’s a few glaring issues with gameplay both offline and online. Pressure system in concept is great, it builds a tad too quickly still in my opinion. Which moves to the larger issue, the debuff received is a bit too much especially since it doesn’t end of the defensive team carries the puck out of the zone.
You can manage to go from defensively hemmed in to trying to forecheck in the other zone with puck control, but STILL be experienced the nerf effect until the Pressure timer is done. That’s a bit backwards and just hurts the team finally fighting back. Shouldn’t be that hard to implement a code in the game to register the defensive team clears own blue line, debuff removed.The other huge issue, it’s far too easy to lose the puck, not pickup the puck, regardless of the stats related to those movements. Often you can be sneezed on and just give the puck to the other team. You could be battling for a rebound and just, not shoot/get the puck despite being on top of it and uninterrupted.
Those two things are super painful so far, another note, can the celebration cutscenes be turned off in offline PLEASE. They’re beyond immersion breaking, online, fine I get having them, offline they’re just bad and break game flow entirely.
Also small things, defensemen are too easily blown past/AI dmen are brainless and go for pokechecks at center ice too much leading to odd men rushes as they can’t adjust. Flip passing for zone clearing on the PK literally doesn’t work.
who’s idea was it to remove hybrid controls in the first place? Tbh if I wos aware of this I would never of purchased nhl 24. Another bad decision by EA. And to top it off they can’t correct it before end of October? What a joke

@orgf6n02uoqz,
just some hints how to not take a penalty when trying to shoot in offensive zone in front of the net. For rebounds, you have to put L stick down and R stick up at the same time. This will not trigger a shove animation, it's a safe move. Regarding OT, you have to use manual OT, so first press LT and put R stick down and wait for the pass, you will see that your stick is back and up. From that position if you put R stick up, even if the pass is not coming, shove animation is not triggered, it's a safe move and you will not take a penalty. Of course, right timing is required to connect the puck. In franchise mode, the computer controlled teams are able to build up almost HALF of the pressure meter by simply entering the zone and getting one “great shot” on goal on pro difficulty and higher, which is not reciprocated for human controlled gameplay. The CPU should not feel as if they are wildly favored for sustained pressure over 1 shot while entering a zone. Also, please adjust the rate at which goalies are attempting desperation saves for every little thing when the opposing team gets sustained pressure. A goalie does not do a cartwheel after saving a puck that was shot from the point and directing a rebound to the corner. It is not contextually accurate…like at all, ever. And while we’re at it, the rate to which my players stamina depletes when under pressure, when they are players fresh off of the bench, should not ever happen. Teams should not be rewarded as heavily against new lines versus keeping the current line on the ice. Also, that stamina depletion almost feels non existent for the CPU when they are under pressure. I am being beaten to the puck by players with a completely empty stamina bar when mine is still in the green, when I have the pressure advantage. Somebody should flip the bird to the game execs and just push out good content. I bet the developers are screaming into their pillows at night bc they know they pushed out a half measured game.

Me: I think we have a problem here.
Shills: You just need to adapt. Something Something defensive skill gap.

If these are just the new ways to do things, then why isn't anyone communicating this to us? We're posting about these issues, there's alternatives or direct answers, yet no one tells us.
- Dump the puck properly while under pressure and dump the puck in o-zone.
Something to improve, at least it was, when I was still active from 15-22.
Would be cool if it could become a great defensive tool to use when you are under pressure and then reset or reduce the meter to half.
There should be some diffrent options to clear the zone and with diffrent skill-gap were you could easily risk a puck out and boxplay if you aint enough focus.
And if a player is low in stamina that should affect his ability to aim right.
I only read the note from the patch, but its good, I get the feeling the team has good responsiveness to get the pressure system in a good place and what it should be based on.
I prefer shots, hits, passes, infront of just zone time.
Becuase you can have zone time but at the same time be really destructive. That should not be rewarded. - @Kingkush866 They don't care as long as we keep giving them money. Scum tactics and they purposefully alienated a whole demographic of players that legitimately cannot play with the new controls. Straight up bait and switched us
