Re: Changing lines using Hybrid controls

I am playing during franchise mode. I changed the controller setting during the game. 

The line change came up, but were grey out and wouldn’t move when I hit the line changes like it did in 23.

Was it working fine before you changed the controller settings? Also, is it happening in every game after that change as well?

I had just switched it during the game. 

I just restarted the game and got into a new one and the same franchise. It will still not allow me to change lines during the game.

Try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 24. I'll give instructions for both consoles. There is the risk of losing offline saves and changes to settings you've made. Normally, those download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee this. 

Xbox -

• Press the Guide button and then highlight the NHL 24 tile.
• Hit the Menu button. It's the small one to the right of the Guide button with 3 horizontal lines on it.
• Next, go to Manage game and add-ons > Saved data. Delete the file with your gamertag on it.

PlayStation -

• Go to Settings/Storage/System. Locate NHL 24 and delete the saved data.

If that doesn't help, I'll be back on Tuesday to troubleshoot this further. Apologies in advance for the delay.

Having the same issue on Franchise mode, tried deleting the saved data following the steps you described and that didnt fix it. Tried starting a new franchise with line changes set to manual with a preset saved, that didnt work either. If I look at the setting while in game its set to auto, and if I change it to manual the same skaters never leave the ice but I cant get the line change prompt to appear.

As @6802e45c44393037 mentioned, could you try using the D pad to change lines instead?
