@recipe87 I've played nhl games in the past and they were fun!!
it's the no tutorial that really ruined it. you just start a game and spend the entire time trying to chase the CPU and when I got the puck all it did was quickly flash an arrow in a direction that I obviously have to aim but didn't manage do anything but hit it to none and randomly stab at bottuns until i switched it off very soon after that. realistic is good, but why make it so u are given no hits at all about to attempt to play this game?? I just got a ps5 and this was the first game I bought.... if anything I'll keep to show as many of my friends as possible how bad it is and not buy it. already aropped two mates from doing it!! gotta get my money back somehow

It's very disappointing to hear about your frustration. I for sure understand how a tutorial would greatly help new players such as yourself. I really hope we can get that added in a future game. In the meantime though, as mentioned, there are numerous tutorials online. You'd also be very welcome to ask any questions here.
It sounds like you were having trouble aiming passes. If you happen to try the game again, passing is done with either the right trigger or the A/X button. It depends which control layout you're using. Aiming is done with the left stick. So, aim in the direction you want the pass to go and hit the trigger or button to make the pass.
There's also a list of the controls in game under Settings > Controller Settings.
