What is defense in NHL 24?
https://youtu.be/xrBxJht0KW8?feature=shared With Shutdown and 90 poke checking, this game still doesn’t reward you with good defensive plays. How was this not goalie interference as well? Defense is...

Right, because in real hockey, we just let the puck carrier lean on us and don't use body check at all .
@KidShowtime1867the attacker should have lost the puck at least a dozen time on that play and your response is "hey you should have done X here at the end instead maybe". Again, have you ever played competitive 6s?
Do you really not see that the attacking players can simply skate in straight line to the net and often there's just no way to stop them? 5 year olds in real life know that skating into the guy in front of them will result in them losing control. How do you not?

Puck carrier DID lose the puck but because the defender had poor positioning, they were too far away from the puck to obtain it:
They recovered nicely and put themself in a FANTASTIC position to lay out a nice body check:
but instead, they decide to ride that poke check button, and SUCCESSFULLY KNOCK THE PUCK LOOSE:
and because they actively skated away from the loose puck:
the loose puck left by the goalie (which should've been covered, I'll blame EA for that one) is then knocked in for a goal while Teal continues to skate away:

Yup, at the highest levels.

In the clip, the player refused to use a simple body check. There are ways to stop them, you just need to make the right decision in what tool to use 😉

5 year olds also know that they should shove/hit/check a player who is literally leaning on them 😃😃
you're probably an offline type of player that plays rookie mode. When you're a top 6s team playing top 6s teams, going for the check is too risky and will often result in going off position and giving a breakaway or a goal. please stop trolling. Thanks

sounds like you've got some bad defenders on your team!
