Why do I lose 500 RP when my teammates leave like fix this EA! Change it so you lose nothing if players leave for crying out loud!

Because EASHL Drop-Ins are a complete cesspool of human behaviour. Until EA implements severe penalties for quitting early and temporary bans on people with a few teamplay kicks in succession, we're left with this melting pot of self-absorbed teenagers (or teenage minded adults) who think the entire point of the game is for them to be the center of attention.
