It sounds like your save is corrupt. Try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 24. It's possible you could lose any offline saves and changes to settings. Normally, those will download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee that will happen. Go to Settings/Storage/System. Locate NHL 24 and delete the saved data.

Will this fix it because everything else was working fine on the save file up until the draft. And I'm like 4 seasons in and I've never had this issue before.

I don't know if that will fix it for sure. It's very possible it won't. It's often not possible to recover from a corrupt save.

I appreciate the help and responses. I also had a question or a suggestion. I was hoping that you guys could expand the number of saves you can have, like in Madden 24. Instead of limiting them. Like in Madden, you can have over 30, but in nhl, you can only have like 12

I wanted to go back on this topic real quick. I did what you told me and the save was fine but the season just ended up skipping the whole draft that year like it didn't happen. 

I replayed a whole entire season and still the only thing broken is the draft. I even tried a season with a whole different team that I have same thing. Only the draft is broken.

Are you still crashing during the draft or is it being skipped?

Both scenarios. It crashes at the draft but I can skip it and do everything else. This specific franchise mode was fine up until I downloaded the new patch file you guys sent out
