It is a 99 overall Tots McDavid upgraded from an Xfactor card. The other player should be my 95 Reinhart preseason or my 99 draft McKinnon I believe

When exactly did this occur? Is your pic from the game start or the beginning of another period? If you can get a video next time it happens, that would greatly help.

it happened mid game on penalty kill

Did you change McDavid's number? While it shows 2 of them in the lower left notification, it doesn't look like there are actually 2 of them on the ice. Is that correct? There's still an issue of course. I'm just trying to get all the details here.

yes his number was changed to 99. I only have one McDavid Hut card though.
