Why are the menus in NHL 24 so laggy?? It's genuinely a slog to get around the different sections, and creating a player is terrible right now, especially when it comes to adjusting salaries. It's SO much slower than last year. I spend a lot of time making rosters and adjusting salaries, so a menu that's as fast as last year is kind of to be expected. Is there anything I can do?
Just got the game on xbox one with ea play and since install all menus experience this for me but worse most of the time. Absolutely ruins the experience for me especially trying to learn(havent played any newer ones since the early 2000s). Really wish there was a fix since i cant play nhl25 on old gen.
Confirm it's lagging a lot! Especially in Franchise mode, like mentioned in a previous response, when adjusting the price of merchandise and concession. Also, swapping players or substituting and having to do a call-up from the AHL is a chore because of how slow the menus are. I mean, it's slower than PS2 era NHL titles... on a PS5.
That video found on YouTube (link below) illustrate this. It's not in Franchise mode, but it represent the speed of most menus in NHL 24 on a PS5.
But since it's near August and the next game is scheduled in a couple months, I'm sure the problem won't be solved despite being pointed out on release.
I don't have a video of it. But I can give an example of a menu! Franchise Mode and the menu where you change price for consessions!
Shouldn't matter which console it is (I'm on PS5), changing the price of french fries shouldn't lag, and it is lagging bad. More common I'd say if you want to swap players in edit lines, because it really needs to be done in slow motion to make sure the first and second players are switched.
it's not the end of the world, but the games themselves are not laggy. It's strange how a simple menu can be sooo slow.
I'm trying to think if there is a menu I would consider "as responsive as you'd expect", but most are noticeably slow. I have been somewhere in the menu where it felt better.
Just play the game yourself for once? It's internet explorer with a 56kb/s modem in 2024. Every menu. Everything. :D
Community ManagerThe menus are pretty slow. However, we're not aware of any issues that are causing them to lag. Is this happening in every menu? If you have any video, that would help. You can just put it up on YouTube and link it in a response.
