This is from the NHL rulebook:
Rule 83.1
A player controlling the puck who shall cross the line ahead of the puck shall not be considered “off-side,” provided he had possession and control of the puck prior to his skates crossing the leading edge of the blue line.

So, the key is control. It seemed to me that the player had received the pass just as he entered the attack zone so I'm not sure you could say he had "control." If he'd skated a bit before he crossed the blue line, I'd say yes he had control. Not that big of a thing though either way. It's a rare occasion in the game. I have to say that I'm really enjoying NHL 24 though. You added a lot of the things we'd requested over the years. More Legends, breaking glass was brought back, checking players into the player's boxes, and hats being thrown on the ice in celebration of hat tricks. Now, if only you'd bring back vintage goalie masks (within the creation zone) and allow us to create players without helmets the list would be complete. Thanks again.
