Re: Intermittent Passing Error

We get very few reports of this happening so it doesn't seem to be a widespread issue. Which makes it a lot harder to troubleshoot. It's also not something we can reproduce. That's where video makes a big difference so we can see exactly what's happening on screen in case there's something else combined with passing that is causing this. If you want to just get game video and tell me when you're trying to pass, that will work.

Just to be clear, when you say you're using a quick pass, I assume you mean you're just tapping R2 and you're not stickhandling at all?

@EA_AljoIt would obviously be specific to the context of the individual play but generally yes aiming the pass towards my target and pressing the button...and then wondering why it didn't work

I just did one where I'm racing to a loose puck and knowing that the AI opponent is going to immediately cream me or strip me clean so I'm trying to time it so the pass gets off as soon as I get possession... Worked like a charm exactly how I wanted it to but I was actually shocked because it's generally a coin toss

@EA_Aljo Oh my god..... So I'm killing a 5 on 3 and I get a clear from my defender. My C is up ice so it's actually a potential chance for possession and I'm just trying to switch to him. I had to hit R2.....SEVEN TIMES!! I literally only have 3 skaters on the ice. I'm pointing upwards with Lstick....yknow...towards my only guy in that direction, and it switched between the defenders 6 times before giving me my C once my opportunity had died and the opposition outskated him despite a healthy head start (my C was fresh off the bench as the 5 on 3 had just started)

How do you even begin to explain this nonsense...

This could be related to the lag issue you mentioned in the other thread. Let me know if you want to go through some troubleshooting.

Here I just encountered the same thing only with L1/ block. Hedman just stands there like an idiot. If he braces that block then the puck bounces out to a safe area, instead the SS-AI on this 70ovr team gets a goal...

I'll watch for more reports of this. Again, buttons not responding could be due to the lag issue you previously mentioned.
