Unexpected error chel 3v3

How frequently is this happening? What system are you playing on?

Happens once or twice a week and it's on the PlayStation5. Even if you restart the system go back in.

Thanks for getting back to me. So far, we haven't been able to find out what causes this. In previous games, I'd have it happen a few times throughout the course of the year. So far with 24 it hasn't happened once. It's been a really difficult one to track down so I don't have any solutions that are going to get it resolved. What system are you playing on?

It's on the PS5 and it's happening alot I just wish it could be fix it's very annoying. It happened again tonight that's the 4th time in a week it's making the game unplayable.

Try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 24. It's possible you could lose any offline saves and changes to settings. Normally, those will download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee that will happen. Go to Settings/Storage/System. Locate NHL 24 and delete the saved data.

Also, if it's been awhile, I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. 

If you don't see a difference, try changing up all the gear on your player. It's possible a piece is bugged and causing this to happen.

I’m having the same problem on my ps5. whenever i play club or drop in’s I get the unexpected error every time. i have not been able to finish a game in a while. i’ve tried everything you said in this post as well as changing my whole character

Unfortunately, there's not much else to suggest. You can try rebuilding the PS5 database though. Instructions for that can be found here.
