An alternate solution to SBMM

There are a lot of posts about SBMM lately. Unfortunately, the player pool is so small that it would make wait times unbearable. The main issue here is it feels like there is nowhere to play casually for a lot of players.

As an alternative solution, I suggest drop in sixes should be modified to only allow teams of up to 3 to drop in and be blended with other teams. This would break up some of the groups of high level players that hunt noobs in drop in or push them to club. I'll be honest my group has been guilty of this at times.

I think this would create a healthier environment in which clubs is the more competitive, focused mode and drop ins is truly a pickup game. The same could be applied to 3v3. Only teams of up to 2 in drop in.

  • Drop in hunters are the wildest thing I’ve ever seen from this game.

I’d limit it to 2 and add a mechanic where players can already join an ongoing game.

  • Mid game join ins would be a nightmare if RP remains; Just make Drop-Ins strictly casual like it was (with heavy anti-troll tools), and you'll solve most problems.

Oh yeah RP in drop ins shouldn’t exist or they should make a ranking based on individual performance like FIFA. the way RP is measured is more fitting for a game like Chess or any 1v1 game.
