Is there any way to get the cpu to shoot the puck more? 15 shots is the max I’ve had shot on me. They seem to go for a pass even with wide open lanes to shoot?

Yes… I have 7min periods and facing 24-33 shots per game.
CPU Strategy adjustment is how aggressive they will be. The higher the number, the more aggressive they will be and they will shoot more. However, it could be the placebo effect, but it seems like their “Offensive awareness” rating goes way up. I get scored on a lot more often when I have it at 6. I keep mine at 3/6 or 4/6.
I have most of my passing sliders at 55/100 and most of my puck control sliders at 45/100.
The sliders that I think make the most difference is the checking tab. My aggression slider is at 10/100 and hitting power at 20/100. I might even lower my aggression slider even more. In a real NHL game, there might be 20 hits per game, in EA NHL’25 even with 10/100, I will still see 70-100 hits per game. Raise the slider to 50/100 and I’ll see 150-200 hits in a 21min game. Thats more than 1 hit per second. That completely disrupts the flow of the game. And I lowered the hit power so it’s not a knock down fest. The speed/size/preparedness/checking effect are all at 80/100. Poke checking power and accuracy and stick lift are at 20/100.
This has allowed the puck carrier to keep the puck longer and thus shooting more often.
The are other sliders to look at, but dont know if it increased shots. My fatigue effect is 99/100 with recovery at 8/100 to give 4th liners ice time and not give superstars 40min of ice time. The assisted strategies tab (dont know why its own tab) but I match that one with the CPU setting, BUT I might lower it since my team constantly outshoots the opponent.
Try the checking CPU, Checking and Passing settings for 10 games. Tell me how they worked.
