Body checking
There needs to be some sort of punishment for players that hold down the checking ( button or stick) for to long. They can lose speed, energy, power but not follow you around like a heat seeking miss...

There is kind of a punishment, if you see someone charging it be ready to press "A" (on Xbox) to reverse hit. Only thing is you lose the puck a lot of the time in online and they end up with possession either way in online play. You could also try and deke. I don't know about losing speed but maybe not allowing your acceleration to increase if you're prepping a hit
