I mean it's a very iffy call imo. Looks like instead of doing a boardplay you went and did a holding sticklft which would I think dislodge the puck after awhile and get you the penalty. Obviously not an ideal call but that is how I am seeing it.

the puck is between us it would be a puck battle for the puck lifting the stick is what you would do ,interference would be if the puck is no where us

It does appear you triggered a stick tie-up and when this action is performed anywhere other than the net front, you’ll always get called for interference.
the reason being is that in order to do a stick tie up, neither of you needs to currently be in possession of the puck.
Although I understand the puck is in between you and you’re on valid ground to battle for it, the game logic simply sees you executing a tie up outside of the net front, which triggers the penalty.

I understand that but they really need to fix that here I'll give a clip of my opponent just trying to prevent me from receiving a pass and he got an interference
