Drop Ins

Why is the ability to queue for drop ins as a premade group of elites and be able to grind RP on easy mode against noobs or anyone trying to play the game while their team isn't online even a thing? 

Drop-ins should be nothing more than solo queue'd games where you are playing because your club isn't online. This is where new players who are just getting into World of Chel will go to try and learn the game, this shouldn't be a feeding ground for elites and premades who want no challenge and to just beat up on those players and achieve elite rank without ever setting foot in actual challenging club content.

It takes away any form of accomplishment for getting to elite in club in the first place if it can just be done in a non competitive cheese mode meant for new players. 

Please for the love of god, remove any RP associated to drop ins. As well as the ability to queue as a full team in drops, maybe make it 1 friend max. If you have 3 of you on, you should be in club plain and simple

  • Actually, what you are looking for is the quickplay 3v3 mode, which was designed with that idea in mind. No RP involved and quick 5 min games and done. Get to try and get a feel for the game and all its mechanics. Drop ins are sometimes preferred for people because they don't have their full team on of 5 or 6 and instead have only 3 or 4, they would rather go into drop in and find a random or 2 humans to drop in with. They did a nice job this year with their Drop into club system/LFG allowing a single person to join into some club lobbies if you match the criteria they are looking for. Unfortunately it wasn't really well advertised so people still don't understand or just don't trust it.

    I would like to see a feature that, as a club, allows you to wait for your dressing room to fill with your desired player count before searching for games.... or on the drop in players side, only allow drop into clubs option.

      that is absolutely not what im looking for. A "drop in" game should not have RP associated to it what so ever. If your rank as a player can be obtained through an infinitely easier route in drop ins against random pick up groups, it automatically makes the in game ranking system meaningless in terms of a competitive nature when you can willingly choose to grind it in drops with your group instead of club.

      Drop ins should have no RP associated with it what so ever, and should purely be intended as a non competitive atmosphere for newer players, or players who have no friends online to play with at the time. The amount of players who willingly choose to grind their rank in drops instead of club with their full lineup is absolutely pathetic. Not only does this kill the legitimacy of the ranking system, but it kills any chance of new players playing the game and sticking with it when thats what one of their first experiences in WoC will be. Its nothing more than an unfair situation for players playing drops without a premade group and an automatic loss.

        They just to go back to separate RP for drop ins and Club instead of separating it by 6’s and 3’s. Makes no sense.

  • I do agree that dropins shouldn't have RP. But I do not agree that dropins should be solo queue only... that does not help the community or game develop. 

    If club were the only place to take a pre-made group of friends, how are we supposed to find these friends and know they are capable players if we are only searching by ourselves in dropins? I may meet 1 or 2 ppl as teammates in a solo queue dropin, in your scenario, but we cannot play together again until we have a full club? That seems silly and would hinder groups growing and branching out. 

    You need dropin mode nearly as it is, aside from the unnecessary RP.
